The Battle of Lake Superior played out when remnants of the Third Battalion of the Sword of the Prophet almost caught up with the Quest. Major Peter Graber's troops failed to catch the members of the Quest because they defended on the far side of a body of water. During the battle, Seeker Dalan apparently drowned, then revived.
