Abbott-Bishop Dmwoski was the leader of a group of Catholic monks living in a fortified monastery at Mount Angel, Oregon. Dmwoski maintained a facade of neutrality in the disagreement between the PPA and its neighbors in the Willamette Valley. He was extremely critical of the false church established by Norman Arminger and refused to acknowledge its "pope" as the head of the Catholic Church.
Dmwoski had been a soldier before he entered the priesthood and the abbott of Mount Angel at the time of the Change stepped aside, believing the Dmwoski was better suited for the position in the changed world.
