The Siege of Sutterdown was a result of Norman Arminger's desire to have a city as a base south of the lsands denied to him by the allies.
Conrad Renfrew led a major force to invest Sutterdown. As they were preparing for the siege, word arrived of Alexi Stavarov's failure at the Battle of West Salem. If Renfrew had been successful, he would have been cut off from the Protectorate. Renfrew burned his war stocks and retreated in good order.
